Rapid E-Learning Programmer (Captivate and/or Storyline)

Instrux Media wants to add dynamic, hardworking team players to its growing e-learning business. As a Rapid E-Learning Programmer you will be an integral part of the Instrux Media team, and will develop creative e-learning projects in response to client needs. You must be able to work well individually and as part of a team of web developers and instructional designers in an exciting and fast paced environment. The successful candidate will also be able to work with the project manager to meet project deadlines and stay on budget.

Job Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Responsibilites

  • Working with the production team to develop e-learning courseware based on scenarios.
  • Creating, maintaining and extending new and existing web applications and tools.
  • Creating multimedia interactions using images, sound and
  • Manage project files in a source control system.
  • Use authoring software to assemble e-learning content and publish the course in accordance with educational design
  • Developing alpha, beta and final versions of e-learning products as well as maintenance guides when/if appropriate.

Mandatory Qualifications

  1. Must have a university degree or a college diploma (preferably from a professional program related to the field – computer science, computer engineering, internet application and web design, etc.)
  2. Must have developed at least four (4) e-learning courses over the past two (2) years using rapid learning tools (i.e. Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline).
  3. Must have developed SCORM compliant content (including content packages and metadata files) for at least two (2) courses within the last two (2) years.
